Kathryn Schopmeyer, DPT, CSCS, CPE is a clinical educator, a physical therapist, and a regional program coordinator for the Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) of the US Department of Veterans Affaris. Dr. Schopmeyer specializes in interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation, pain management team development, opioid stewardship, and best practice implementation within the US Veterans Health Administration. She has been invited faculty at national and regional pain management conferences in both the public and private sectors. Her primary goals in the clinic are to foster active patient engagement through education and to help people re-engage in life while living with persisting pain. She believes that pain care is a “team sport”, that knowledge is power, and that movement is the best medicine.
