What is the relationship between neck pain and headache? Is neck pain/pathology a cause of headache (cervicogenic headache)? Is it a separate disorder, which can co-exist with other primary headache disorders (occipital neuralgia)? Is it merely a trigger, which can exacerbate a primary headache disorder like tension type headache or migraine? Is neck pain actually a symptom of migraine (migrainous cervicalgia)? This lecture will review the differential epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with headache and neck pain.
