Different work environments and industries have different challenges for their workers. How can we as MHFA Instructors help workers apply the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) at work? How can we encourage workers and managers to utilize their agency toward positive change? We will address how Instructors can encourage learners to help change their mental health subculture in the workplace.
Discuss the intrinsic and reciprocal relationship between working and non-working life.
Examine workplace power dynamics and the way the way power structures commonly function differently in theory than in reality.
Explore how workplace conditions and subculture can make ALGEE and MHFA teachings more easily applicable and how MHFA principles have the power to transform toxic workplace cultures.
Identify ways of encouraging workers to employ agency in their own conversations and interventions.
