This engaging and educational session on the best governance practices of nonprofit boards will describe four stages of board governance, especially the fourth stage where the board and CEO work in a true partnership to achieve their strategic goals. Key discussion topics will focus on creating an engaged board and motivated board and how to best recruit new board members and reappoint current members. The board's role in strategic planning and new ideas of how to engage the board in creating a culture of philanthropy without the fear of asking for money will also be addressed.
