As the field continues to mobilize to address the opioid crisis, there has been an increased interest in opening new opioid treatment programs (OTPs). This presentation will highlight what we know about OTPs today and what you need to consider when opening a new program and the changes that are impacting the future of medications for addiction treatment. This conversation will include examples of current challenges and new innovations in OTP operations as well as a discussion of how to work with state opioid authorities and relevant federal partners.

Examine the federal and state regulations that impact the ability to operate a program
Analyze changes related to mobile van units, take home methadone and buprenorphine
