Suicide does not discriminate, yet many racialized communities and those that carry the ramifications of intersectional existence face additional harm and barriers that confer added risk. Learn more about the scope of the issue of suicide among these communities, define the concept and components of equity and highlight the importance of prioritizing equity in suicide prevention. This discussion will explore the utility of equity self-assessments while engaging participants in ways to apply these tools to their own work. Gain an enhanced racial and intersectional lens, reflective questions, practical tools and strategies to make equity actionable.
