Julie Hiett has 25 years of experience in mental health, social services, population health and care coordination. She began her career as a crisis case manager at a community mental health center and was a school social worker before moving out of direct care and into healthcare IT.
Julie has been at Netsmart for over 9 years, working with clients across the country at provider, county and state levels. She provides insight, expertise and guidance on behavioral health, care coordination and population health management. Julie’s main focus is helping providers optimize client data from disparate systems across the healthcare continuum in order to improve clinical outcomes and lower the cost of care. She has led partnerships with agencies in many different environments, including several statewide implementations, county partner collaborations, health homes, CCBHCs, justice-involved settings and re-entry programs. She also has experience in multiple payor environments, including IPA and ACO models.
Prior to joining Netsmart, Julie held a variety of positions with a pharmacy software company, including leading large-scale projects for the Veterans Administration, Department of Defense and Indian Health Services.
Julie has a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies & Human Services from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in Social Work from Wichita State University.
