Echo Shumaker-Pruitt, MSW, MA, is the Senior Vice President of Innovation at the Mental Health Association of Westchester. She is responsible for spearheading innovative projects of strategic importance to MHA. Projects include: the construction of an integration 360 health care clinic; setting up telehealth (prior, during and post pandemic); piloting a client facing meaasureement based carae app; prroject managing strategic partnerships and implementing EHR transition and optimization. Ms. Shumaker-Pruitt leads MHA's clinical informatics team which is tasked with the utilization of technology and innovations in program design and service delivery. She has 15 years of non-profit experience in all aspects of program development, operations and evaluation and is PROSCI certified Change Manager. Recent presentations include: Innovative Disruptors in Behavioral Health; The Innovation Team; Risk Stratification for Behavioral Health — Best Practices and Lessons Learned; Preparing for Value Based Payments: Adoption Rates, Policy Pitfalls and Provider Readiness. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work as well as degrees in Cultural Anthropology, European Studies, and Educational Studies, providing a strong foundation in research methodologies, data collection and the culturally competent provision of services.
