Bryan Camphire has been working on the IDD Crisis Teams with Austin Travis County Integral Care since 2018. He has a degree in Criminology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Bryan provides trainings to Corrections Officers at Travis County Correctional Complex on De-escalationtactics specific to the IDD Population. He meets biweekly with the D.A.’sOffice as part of the IDDMH Criminal Justice Collaborative. In FY22 in TravisCounty, 17 individuals with IDD were diverted from jail as part of this collaborative. Bryan is also a member of the IDD Advisory Committee for the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. The IDD Crisis Teams at Integral Care offer supports to individuals and families focusing on skills training, caregiver consultation and coordination.
