Pink’s five New York Times bestsellers include “The Power of Regret: How Looking Backward Moves Us Forward” – also named one of the best books of 2022 by NPR, The Financial Times, Amazon and Apple Books – and “To Sell is Human: The Surprising Truth About Moving Others,” which won the American Marketing Association’s annual prize as the best book on marketing.
Pink was host and co-executive producer of “Crowd Control,” a National Geographic Television series on human behavior that aired in more than 100 countries. His Master Class on sales and persuasion is one of the platform’s most popular courses and his TED Talk on the science of motivation has been viewed more than 40 million times. He also appears frequently on NPR, PBS and other TV and radio networks in the U.S. and abroad.
He has been a contributing editor at Fast Company and Wired as well as a business columnist for The Sunday Telegraph. His articles and essays have also appeared in The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, The Atlantic and other publications. In 2007, he was a Japan Society Media fellow in Tokyo, where he studied the country’s massive comic industry.
Before venturing out on his own more than 20 years ago, Pink worked in several positions in politics and government, including serving as Vice President Al Gore’s chief speechwriter.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in linguistics from Northwestern University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a juris doctor degree from Yale Law School. He has also received five honorary doctorate degrees, including from Georgetown University and the Pratt Institute.
