This presentation will provide an update from FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products (CTO+P). Following an overview of CTP and the current state of tobacco use in the United States, the focus will shift to key agency initiatives including product standard, public education, and a tobacco cessation care package. The presentation will also discuss tobacco use, its association with behavioral health conditions, and considerations for optimal treatment.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the current state of tobacco use in the United States particularly in those with mental health conditions
Understand the Center for Tobacco Product's mission and the legal framework within which we operate to achieve our goals
Become familiar with specific key initiatives being developed and implemented by FDA and the Center for Tobacco Products
