Resilience is increasingly a focus of interest for behavioral health providers, policy and practice researchers and trauma-informed care thought leaders. However, research has struggled to define and measure resilience from a bio-psycho-social perspective and service systems struggle to develop strategies to support and build resilience as part of their guiding philosophy and concrete interventions. Increase your understanding of resilience as a concept with significant practical implications for organizations that provide behavioral health care services across populations, settings and programs.
Learning Objectives:
Identify and state the most important individual and environmental protective factors that define and support resiliency.
Describe the three core principles and practices of resiliency building interventions.
Describe several of the most significant and recent findings from the resiliency research field.
Partcipants will assess the degree to which a current resiliency building curriculum aligns with the needs of their population
