A 2022 survey of health care workers conducted by OhioMHAS highlighted the need for workplace resiliency support. 82% of the respondents reported suffering from some level of compassion fatigue with 45% indicating significant or serious compassion fatigue. Creating a culture where vulnerability is appreciated promotes resiliency. With the focus on employee wellbeing, staff retention increases and productivity improves and those served are the true beneficiaries of the staff resiliency focus. We will also address the structure of this effort and potential barriers to implementation.
