The behavioral health care industry is constantly evolving and requires a workforce that is able to change. There is growing recognition that well-conceived strategy only has a promising future if employees are poised and prepared to lead the work. Middle managers execute significant change across organizations, to align with business strategy, yet rarely receive the leadership development to do this effectively and, as a result, important change efforts become stalled or fail. Health Management Associates (HMA) developed the Implementation Accelerator, a leadership development framework that supports middle managers in utilizing implementation science to address on-the-ground challenges and build the skills to lead successful change.
