Harry Bruell has served as CEO/President of PathPoint since 2017 and has been a leader in the nonprofit sector since 1991. PathPoint annually supports 2,400 people with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities in living the life they choose. PathPoint’s nearly 500 employees operate employment, residential, community integration and counseling programs in five southern and central California counties. Prior to joining PathPoint, Harry served for 26 years in the conservation corps field and transitioned to PathPoint after losing his daughter to mental illness. From 2004 to 2017, he served as President and CEO of Conservation Legacy, during which time the agency grew from a small regional conservation corps to a national organization operating in more than 45 states. During the Obama Administration, the Secretary of the Interior appointed Harry as Chair of the 21st Century Conservation Service Corps Federal Advisory Committee. Harry currently serves on the Boards of the CA Disability Services Association, California APSE, and the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder, and on the Advisory Board of the Access Psychology Foundation. He is the author of a book about his family’s experience with mental illness and hopes to support others with similar challenges.
