An unwavering advocate for children, Jenny applies her visionary leadership and business acumen to build The Children’s Guild’s capacity to positively impact the children and families it serves.
With her considerable expertise in administration, special education, continuous quality improvement and behavioral health, she is uniquely positioned to lead the organization in building a culture that engages students, fosters achievement and meets the needs of every learner.
Prior to being named CEO in March 2021, Jenny served as chief operating officer of the organization. She has also served as director of continuous quality improvement.
Before joining The Children’s Guild, she owned and consulted for Kids First Educational and Behavioral Consulting, providing educational and behavioral consultation services to families and private schools working with children with special needs. She has also worked as a senior school administrator at Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson and focused on compliance and risk management, program development, and school leadership. Jenny also was employed as vice president and director of administration and program development at the Koba Institute in Silver Spring.
Jenny’s work as an advocate for students and ambassador for The Children’s Guild includes her involvement with the Maryland State Department of Education, the Maryland Association of Nonpublic Special Education Facilities, the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, and the National Association of Private Special Education Centers.
She earned a Master of Education in school administration and supervision from Loyola University and a bachelor’s degree in English and a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Licensure B-12 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She holds an advanced professional certificate from the Maryland State Department of Education as well as certificates from Life Space Crisis Intervention Institute and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
