Nelly Cuenca MSM, CEO / Founder of MaaPaa.org
Nelly Cuenca is an established and highly skilled community impact professional with over 20+ years of experience in nonprofits and mental health. As the CEO and founder of MaaPaa.org, Nelly Cuenca works with mothers who are raising boys without a father. A Texas native, she saw the inequalities present within marginalized communities — individuals struggling with poverty, housing, loneliness and hunger which drove her to pursue a degree in social work. She holds a Masters of Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, and is certified as a Mental Health First Aid instructor with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Nelly serves on the board of the YMCA Grand Prairie, is a member of St. Luke's Mental Health ministry, and was appointed by Commissioner Elba Garcia to the Dallas Children’s Welfare Board.
