Captain Jeremy Romo is currently the Commander of the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Communications where he is responsible for 90 Public Safety Dispatchers.
He joined the St. Louis County Police Department on March 30, 1999. Prior to serving as a Commander of the Bureau of Communications, he held the postions of Commander of the Criminal Intelligence Unit, Deputy Commander of the Bureau of Tactical Support, Supervisor of the St. Louis County Crisis Intervention Team Unit and the Missouri State CIT Coordinator, a watch supervisor in the Central County Precinct, a member of the Tactical Operations Unit and a patrol officer in the North County Precinct.
Captain Romo has a Bachelors Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University and a Masters Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri St. Louis.
Captain Romo was the recipient of the 2014 St. Louis County Crisis Intervention Team Leadership Award, was named the CIT International’s 2016 Crisis Intervention Team Coordinator of the Year and received a 2016 Award of Appreciation from the Southeast Missouri CIT Council.
