Joe Gratzel is the Outreach and Training Coordinator for Mental Health Awareness Training for Preferred Behavioral Health Group. In partnership with the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County, Joe and the MHAT team have over 900 Law Enforcement Officers, Soldiers, and Fire/EMS personal in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Joe and his wife, Denise, are parents of a diverse family of 7 adopted children and have lived experience as a parents of children with mental illness and intellectual and developmental disabilities. He has served as chairman of the Pediatric Best Practices subcommittee of the NJ DCF/DDD Dual Diagnosis Task Force, and currently serves on the Monmouth County Suicide Prevention Task Force, the NJ Adult Suicide Prevention Advisory Committee, and the NJ National Guard Suicide Prevention Task Force. Since 1996 he has served as the Pastor of First Baptist Church of Manasquan and served as a member of the Manasquan First Aid Squad. Joe holds undergraduate degrees in Law Enforcement and Political Science in addition to his Master of Divinity.
