Kayleigh Truman, (they/them) is a mental health advocate and full-time Stagehand with IATSE Local One in the greater New York City area. Between working on Broadway, Rock N' Roll, and beyond, Kayleigh works to help create healthier conversations around Mental Health across the Entertainment Community. They hold a Masters degree in Labor Studies from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies. They currently serve as a MHFA instructor for the Behind the Scenes organization and a Board member with WECA: Wellbeing in Entertainment and Creative Arts.
Having struggled with homelessness at a young age, familial addiction issues and severe anxiety, Kayleigh has seen firsthand what can happen to people who don't receive the help they deserve. We all deserve to be heard and helped, there's no shame in that.
