Rebecca Goodman, LCSW is the Urgent Care Director with Access: Supports for Living in Middletown, New York, A Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic grant recipient. Rebecca oversees the day-to-day operations of three Behavioral Health and Substance Use Urgent Care locations in Orange and Ulster County, NY while working with grant funding to make mental health and substance use services more assessable for individuals within the Hudson Valley.
Rebecca received her MSW from Adelphi University. Once obtaining her LMSW in 2018, Rebecca began clinical work as a Therapist in the Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) where she facilitated groups and provided therapy to a caseload of individuals who live with mental health and substance use concerns. During her tenure at Access, Rebecca has been a part of the implementation of the Urgent Care model and been able to aid in the expansion and further development of services. In May of 2019, Rebecca assisted in the implementation and development of the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Urgent Care, functioning as the Behavioral Health Clinician on the treatment team. Rebecca has since been promoted to Team Leader of Hospital Diversion and then to Urgent Care Director, where she continues clinical work and oversees the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Urgent Cares. Rebecca has placed an emphasis of her work on assisting individuals work through crisis situations and connect them to resources in the community to avoid hospitalizations when possible.
Rebecca is passionate about removing barriers to care and better understanding individuals on a holistic level. Rebecca continues to serve as a liaison between levels of care in and outside of Access: Supports for Living to ensure individuals do not fall through the cracks and are able to meet their goals. She has been motivated in working with the Health Applications team to create synergy throughout the agency as well as enhancing clinical care.
Rebecca continues to work in expanding service accessibility and strengthening crisis services with Access and excited to see the continued growth occur.
