Romero Davis brings more than 25 years of experience in the social sector to his work at Social Current, where he serves as the senior program manager. His current role includes providing specialized training workshops for internal and external partners engaged in equity, diversity and inclusion, collaboration with national partners in areas such as social determinants of health and culturally responsive supports to families. He is also a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).
Davis has had the opportunity to speak nationally in areas such as family violence, community contribution to well-being and specific areas around EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion).
Prior to his current position at Social Current, Davis taught incoming first time college students in need of mentorship and college and career readiness opportunities at Pacific University. Davis also served as senior director of family violence intervention for the San Joaquin, Contra Costa, and Stanislaus counties in Northern California. There, he coordinated services for victims of family violence along with ones that caused harm. Davis also created a youth and adult development program that focuses on equitable solutions to building skills and teaching core concepts such as service, health, aptitude, resolution, purpose, and excellence which he runs in his local community and county juvenile hall facility and schools.
Davis has used his unique lens, including professional work and lived experience to train, educate and collaborate with educators, law enforcement, students, national leaders and agencies throughout the United States.
