Jacob Hefner, LPC, is the Director of Adult Outpatient Services at Ozark Center in Joplin, Missouri. In Mr. Hefner’s time as Director, he has played a vital role in the development of the Reconnect Eating Disorders program and ensuring fidelity to a high standard of care. Throughout his career as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mr. Hefner has served the southwest Missouri community in order to ensure all individuals have access to quality of care for their mental health and well-being. His efforts have translated into increased access and support in the areas of eating disorders, veterans, individuals experiencing first episode psychosis and substance use disorders. His commitment to service and his community has earned him awards including recognition as a Community Mental Health Hero for his role in the recovery efforts following the Joplin 2011 tornado.
