Engaging with families while individuals are in treatment is a critical component of care. Evidence shows drop-off rates decrease when families are engaged in and a part of the care that is delivered. We will focus on best practices that can be used to properly involve families in the care that is delivered to their loved ones.
Learning Objectives:
Examine the data related to drop-off rates when family engagement is prioritized.
Explore best practices for involving families in clinical decision-making and care plans.
Identify potential barriers to engagement and solutions for overcoming them.
