The US is in the midst of a behavioral health crisis. The pandemic elevated concerns over behavioral health to a level never seen for both the general public and health care workers. This led leaders in the health care to think about and prioritize behavioral health. We will discuss how to leverage this unique time to elevate behavioral health care, how to leverage leadership attention for provider wellbeing, expand access to behavioral health services and how to use a value-based care approach to improve outcomes and manage overall costs.

Apply the value-based care model to a strategic plan to increase access to behavioral health services.
Describe opportunities to attribute cost savings in the medical system to behavioral health treatment.
Utilize a continuous quality improvement model to demonstrate improved outcomes with use of evidence-based treatment.
