Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) USA places a significant emphasis on research and evaluation to measure the effectiveness and outcomes of its programs. In this session, you will learn about a few of the initiatives launched to grow the evidence-base of MHFA in different communities across the US. Recent findings from MHFA research studies will be shared along with how you can use these findings to advocate to bring MHFA to your community.

Discuss the importance of research and evaluation for public health interventions, like MHFA.
Describe newest National Council initiatives to further advance the research and evaluation around MHFA in the U.S.
Describe findings from recent research on MHFA programs implemented in the U.S.
