Psychiatric pharmacists – advanced practice pharmacists who specialize in mental health care – are integral members of the health care team in inpatient and outpatient practice settings who can mitigate the shortage of providers, while simultaneously alleviating provider burnout. Find out more about the roles of psychiatric pharmacists on integrated care teams and their education, training and clinical activities. Case studies in a variety of health systems will illustrate how pharmacists can provide clinical and economic value by integrating into health care teams.
