Supervising novice therapists is essential to help them build skills and competence. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, digital engagement has sky-rocketed and many clinical supervisors are scrambling to find ways innovative ways to support their newest clinicians. There are countless ways to work with supervisees, but some supervisors are just using online. Clinical supervisors of licensed behavioral health clinicians will learn about the common supervision needs of novice counselors, different modalities to use in supervision and innovative ways to use technology as part of the supervision process.
Learning Objectives:
Describe common needs of novice behavioral health therapists.
Evaluate several different modalities for engaging novice behavioral health therapists in supervision.
Identify at least two ways to use technology as a part of the supervision process.
