The National Council for Mental Wellbeing invites you to learn alongside 5,000+ health care professionals at NatCon23, the largest conference in mental health and substance use treatment, from May 1-3, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

Mental Health First Aid Summit

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) National Trainers, Instructors and Coordinators are invited to join us on Sunday, April 30, the day before NatCon23, from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. PT. This free event includes a robust agenda and networking that will help you maximize your impact as an Instructor. Sign up to attend through the NatCon23 registration form. (You'll have the option to select only the Instructor Summit or register for NatCon23 as well.)

Group Registration Discount

Take advantage of the group discount*. By purchasing two registrations at full price, you will get $50 off the full Conference rate for each member of your group you register thereafter. Please contact us if you need assistance.
*Only one discount can be applied per attendee.


Young Leaders Program

The 2023 Young Leaders program is the perfect opportunity for exceptional young leaders who are members with less than 10 years of experience looking to network, navigate mental health and substance use treatment and advance in their career. Designed to bring together young leaders from across the country at NatCon23, the program offers the unprecedented experience to learn from one another, connect with some of the biggest names in health care and leverage specialized learning opportunities.

Features of the Young Leaders program include, but are not limited to:

  • Discounted registration of $700.

  • Access to all Conference events and assistance navigating the event. 

  • Meet and greets with peers, speakers and thought leaders.

  • Networking lunches throughout the Conference.

Scholarship Opportunities

The scholarship application has closed for NatCon23 and our winners have been notified. We will be offering scholarships again for NatCon24. Please be sure to subscribe to the National Council emails to recieve notice when the NatCon24 scholarship application is live in late Fall 2023. Visit the Scholarship page to learn more.





Substitution Policy

Paid registrants unable to attend the meeting may send an alternate. Substitution requests must be received in writing and sent to NatCon@Showcare.com. An administrative fee of $50 will be charged for each substitution. Substitutions can be made at any time. The participant or organization will be responsible for the fee. Unclaimed registration fees cannot be transferred to a future NatCon.


Cancellation Policy

All requests for registration refunds due to cancellation must be received in writing. Cancellations must be emailed to Conference@TheNationalCouncil.org. An administrative fee of $100 will be deducted from all refunds of cancellation requests received prior to March 27, 2023. Registrants who do not cancel prior to March 27, 2023, and do not attend the conference, will be responsible for the full registration fee. Unclaimed registration fees cannot be transferred to a future NatCon.


Health and Safety

We are committed to the health and safety of NatCon23 attendees. We are working with our partners in Los Angeles and will follow all federal, state, local, and CDC health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the conference.
