Emily Goellner, AICP, proudly serves the City of Wayzata, Minnesota as the Community Development Director. With experience at several City governments (Duluth, St. Louis Park, Minneapolis, & Golden Valley), she intends to pursue a PhD focused on local governance, city planning, leadership, and social justice. Emily takes pride in her ability to work with elected officials, developers, and community members to make strategic decisions about real estate development and civic infrastructure. She is passionate about public speaking, negotiation, and mentoring. Emily is a member of APA's Tribal & Indigenous Planning Division. She serves on the board of directors for the Urban Land Institute District Council and Co-Chair of APA-MN's Diversity & Equity Committee. She has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Beyond her career, she parents two toddlers and enjoys playing bass, singing, reading, walking by the Mississippi River, and traveling.
