Mia Held, MCRP is an Aviation & Sustainability Planner at C&S Companies in Philadelphia, PA. Originally from Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!), Mia is a proud graduate of The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM with a Masters in Community & Regional Planning. Her day-to-day work finds her advising airports across the country on sustainability, resilience, adaptation, and master planning projects. Example projects include Airport Sustainability Management Plans, Airport Master Plans, Strategic Energy and Emissions Plans, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments, and administration of the LEED and Envision rating systems. Mia is a Leader on the TRB Young Members Council- Aviation, an incoming member of the AV020 System Planning Committee for 2023, and a DE&I Committee Member for both Women in Transportation (WTS) Philadelphia, and the Northeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (NEC/AAAE). Aviation Planning is Mia’s dream industry and she counts herself extremely lucky to be someone who is invigorated by their work every day and working diligently to make a measurable difference in the sustainability and resilience of our overall aviation system and for her primary client, the Philadelphia Department of Aviation's PHL and PNE airports.
