Listen to a personal story of sexual harassment in the workplace and dive into a holistic view of the detrimental psychological and physical impact of organizational cultures where harassment thrives.
Speaker and survivor, Stephanie Vogt, will encourage planners to view sexual harassment not as an expression of sexual attraction, but rather as an abuse of power that will escalate over time when left unchecked.
Participants will gain awareness of sexual harassment and be able to recognize the two types of workplace harassment under law- hostile work environment and quid pro quo. Preventing harassment and discrimination and creating respectful workplaces requires cultural shifts. Stephanie will guide bystanders to become upstanders through awareness of environments that foster inequality and harassment as well as being able to recognize common victim responses and why most victims don’t report.
It is everyone's responsibility to foster respectful workplace environments where harassment and abuse can no longer thrive.
