Yongchao Su is a Principal Scientist in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Merck and an Adjunct Faculty in Colleague of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin and Purdue University. He works as an analytical lead on physicochemical characterizations of solid dosages and biophysical and biochemical characterization of biological products. His research focuses on developing and utilizing NMR techniques for mechanistic investigations of membrane permeability in drug delivery and structural characterizations of small and large molecule formulations. Yongchao has received postdoctoral training at MIT after his Ph.D. at Iowa State University. He currently serves in the Advisory Board for Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry and Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and as an Editor of the section of protein conformation for Amino Acids. He is a Board member of Eastern Analytical Symposium, the President of the Overseas Chinese Magnetic Resonance Society, and an Executive Committee Member of Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professional Association in Great Philadelphia. He actively chairs scientific conferences of NMR, biophysics and pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Su has contributed over 70 publications and frequently given podium presentations and invited seminars in scientific conference and academic institutes.
