Beata Sweryda-Krawiec, Ph.D., is the Associate Director of Analytical and Process Development at ImmunoGen in Waltham, MA. She leads analytical development activities across the Immunogen portfolio on monoclonal Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) at all stages of development. She works closely with Immunogen process/bioprocess development, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams, and external partners to ensure and support the progression of clinical programs and enable late-stage and commercial manufacturing.
Beata earned her doctorate in inorganic chemistry/materials science from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX. She continued her academic research as a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Advanced Material Processing, Potsdam, NY, and the Bioengineering Department at Clemson University, Clemson, SC.
Beata entered the pharmaceutical industry as a Senior Scientist at Novartis, East Hanover, NJ, and continued her industry career at Amgen, Cambridge, MA. Then, she shifted her interest toward nanomedicine and the development of advanced drug delivery systems. At Cerulean and Tarveda Therapeutics, she led and supported the developing and manufacturing of DS/DP for parenteral formulations, including phase-appropriate formulation development, lead-selection, self-assembly, polymeric nanoparticles, platinum prodrugs, siRNA, and Pentarin (peptides) drug conjugates.
Beata authored several publications and presentations and contributed to several papers and patents.
