Description: Nucleic acid therapies are making it possible to create new types of treatments, vaccines, and cures. These therapeutic RNA molecules can be analyzed using chromatographic methods coupled to either simple ultra-violet (UV) or mass spectrometry (MS) detection. In this presentation, high-resolution ion-pair reversed phase liquid chromatography (IP-RPLC), size exclusion chromatography (SEC), and anion exchange (AEX) methods will be reviewed with a focus on techniques suitable for physicochemical characterization, regulatory support, and quality control of new RNA therapeutic compounds.
Learning Objectives:
To understand new LC based techniques for the characterization of siRNA, ASOs, sgRNA and mRNA
Insights on IP-RPLC, SEC and AEX
Techniques to interrogate important nucleic acid CQAs
