Description: Lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based delivery of pharmaceuticals holds much promise for novel gene therapies, oncology, and effective, rapid-response vaccines. Field-flow fractionation coupled to multi-angle light scattering (FFF-MALS) is the premier method for accurate and quantitative LNP size distributions, providing levels of detail, accuracy, repeatability and automation not possible with other methods.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to review FFF-MALS and its application to fractionation and characterization of lipid nanoparticles.
Upon completion, participant will be able to characterize the average size, polydispersity and detailed size distributions of lipid nanoparticles.
Upon completion, participant will be able to determine particle concentration and size-based nucleic acid (NA) payload distribution.
