The Northwestern Tribal Technical Assistance Program (NW TTAP) Center is a federally funded program focused on building the capacity of tribal transportation programs through training, technical assistance, and technology transfer activities.
The NW TTAP Center works with the tribes of the NW BIA Region 6, which encompasses WA, ID, OR, and portions of UT, MT, and AK. The NW TTAP Center is located at the University of Washington (UW) in collaboration with Eastern Washington University (EWU) and is supported by the FHWA Center for Local Aid Support.
TTAP Program Vision: Through mutual respect and understanding, enhance the quality of life in Tribal communities by building capacity for Tribes to administer and manage their transportation programs and systems.
TTAP Center Mission: Serve as a go-to local resource for Tribal transportation training, technical assistance, and technology transfer needs and opportunities to effectively carry out the TTAP Vision.
