Spanish Bilingual Youth Librarian

Pati Morán is a Spanish bilingual Librarian serving humans, ages 0-100, on a bike and in the stacks since 2011. She had the privilege of learning to read in Spanish, her first language, during California’s bilingual education (prior to Proposition 227). She graduated from UCLA with a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish Literature and Mexican Studies and earned her MLIS from San Jose State University. Pati has worked with public libraries in California (Oxnard and Oakland) and Oregon, in Hillsboro and Portland. She currently works for Multnomah County Library and is a board member of Street Books, a bicycle-powered mobile library that serves people who live outside in Portland, Oregon.
