Director of Staff Engagement

Kim Clarke, BA, LLB, MLIS, is the Director of Staff Engagement (Libraries and Cultural Resources) and Law Librarian at the University of Calgary. She previously served as the Director of the Bennett Jones Law Library, Director of the Doucette Library of Teaching Resources, and the Associate Vice-Provost for Research Services at the University. As the Director of Staff Engagement, she developed the Academic Success Program through which she provides tailored career advice to un-tenured librarians and archivists and guides them through the renewal, promotion and/or tenure process. Upon graduating with her MLIS degree from the University of Alberta, Kim worked at The Ohio State University's Moritz Law Library and then at the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law where she was the Assistant Dean for Library and Research Services. She has taught introductory and advanced legal research courses at universities in both Canada and the United States over the past two decades.
