Building Reentry Services and Working with Government Partners: A Correctional Outreach Perspective

Learn tips and advice for building reentry programs utilizing government partnerships, from the government agencies and community partners themselves. Queens Public Library’s Correctional Outreach team has a fruitful partnership with a local DMV and our local parole office.

Learning Objectives:

1) Participants will leave feeling confident in next steps for reaching out to government offices in their area.
2) Given a library programming or service idea, participants will have 3 ideas for government agencies they can work with.
3) Participants will leave with 3 ideas for reentry programs that incorporate government entities or other community partners.
