Deborah is an Occupational Therapist with 17 years of burn care experience. She started her career at the Temple University Burn Center in Philadelphia, PA, before spending ten years working abroad in France and the Republic of Niger, west Africa. In Niger, Deborah started the Physical Rehabilitation Department at the SIM-Galmi Hospital, which focused on burn rehab across all phases of recovery. Deborah is currently the Burn Rehabilitation Manager at JMS Burn Center—Doctors Hospital, in Augusta, GA. She is an active member of the American Burn Association, serving on the Membership Advisory Committee. Deborah is a member of the Rehabilitation and Burn Care Committees for the International Society of Burn Injuries and served on the Executive Board of the Pan African Burn Society.
