Kathleen M. Conlon, BSN, RN, CEM, MSHS is currently Director of Burn Community & Disaster Programs for The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas in Livingston, New Jersey. Responsibilities include development and implementation of all burn & disaster community programs, in accordance with local, regional and national protocols. Past experience includes six years as a Burn Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, 19 years as a statewide Community Outreach Educator, and 12 years as a clinical Burn Intensive Care staff member. Ms. Conlon holds a Masters in Homeland Security and is the Director for the Eastern Regional Burn Disaster Consortium, serving as Coordinator for the American Burn Association (ABA) Northeast Region. Her tenure with the ABA also includes membership on several committees, including Organization on Delivery of Burn Care, Disaster, Membership, Program, Archives and Advanced Burn Life Support, where she is National Faculty and National Educator for ABLS. From 2016 to 2019, she was a member of the Board of Trustees. Ms. Conlon is a charter member and chief medical logistics nurse for New Jersey -Task Force 1, FEMA Urban Search & Rescue team, and has authored or co-authored several articles on burn care and mass casualty preparedness.
