Welcome to the 2023 JMS Burn Symposium
 
From its inception, the Joseph M. Still Burn Symposium has had a simple mission at its core: Improving the care of burn patients through education. The BRCA Foundation is proud to continue hosting this annual gathering of medical professionals, and we are honored to have you join us.

This year marks our 17th consecutive year of the JMS Burn Symposium. For 2023, we decided to turn our focus to burn mass casualty and disaster management. Please join us in thanking our speakers for sharing their expertise and wisdom in this arena. We hope each of these speakers will add depth and understanding to the complex care burn patients require to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Dr. Joseph M. Still, the namesake of the symposium, summed up this philosophy in simpler terms: As practitioners, our goal for patients was to always “give them back their lives.” This was also a tenet under the leadership of Dr. Fred Mullins, who helped us build the symposium into one of the nation’s largest burn care conferences.
