Kristopher Ring (b. 2001) is a student of Music Education at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, and currently studies tenor trombone under Dr. Brian S. Brink, as well as jazz studies under Dr. Jeffrey Benatar.
As one of the most prominent student composers in the area, Kristopher's music is consistently in high demand, both by those at Florida Southern, as well as the surrounding community. He also serves as the head arranger for the colleges jazz program, and most recently premiered a piece for big band entitled Cruisin' (2021). Kristopher continues to recieve commissions for various types of music, both arrangements and original compositions, specifically specializing in jazz, wind ensemble, and chamber music works. In 2019, he founded Ring Music Publishing Co., a professional outlet for his musical works, as well as a medium for educational outreach.
He currently resides in Bartow, Florida, where he is employed as an assistant with the Bartow Senior High School Yellow Jacket Band. He also runs a private studio for local musicians, and offers free lessons to underserved students of nearby schools while engaging in activist events in and around the state of Florida.
