Dexter Moses is a saxophonist, composer, and educator from Richmond, Virginia. He is an alumnus of North Carolina Central University with a Bachelors in Jazz Studies. He is currently pursuing his Master’s at NCCU studying Jazz Arranging and Composition. In addition to leading his own group, the Dexter Moses Quartet, he has performed and/or recorded with top leaders on their respectful instruments and voices including Branford Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, Joey Calderazzo, Nneena Freelon, Charles Tolliver, James “Saxsmo” Gates, Desiree Roots, Billy Williams, and many more. Dexter has also performed at festivals and venues such as Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival (2020, 2022) and Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jack Rudin Jazz Competition (2020, 2022).
