The goal of this work is to encourage people to understand how wide open the development of a jazz curriculum can be at colleges and universities. People teaching jazz can help a program grow incredibly, even at a school like ours with no graduate program. Presentation this from Kennesaw State University is Harry E. Price along with Sam Skelton the Director of Jazz Studies, and Trey Wright the Coordinator of Small Combos. Sam and Trey are also active players in the area and beyond and have recorded many CDs and advertisements. Harry has published many research articles, been the Editor of the Journal for Research in Music Education and other publications, has been a keynote or lead presenter around the world, and is the 16th recipient the National Association for Music Education Senior Research Award.
