Pat Donaher is a saxophonist, composer and educator. Originally from Quincy Mass, he is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, and received a masters degree in composition at New England Conservatory, studying with the late Bob Brookmeyer and Steve Lacy. He has produced four CDs, three under his own name and one with the improvising groove unit No Sale Value. His latest CD, Occasionally, features Allison Miller, Tony Scherr, Carmen Staaf and Jason Palmer. He has been teaching at Lexington High School since 2014, where he directs the school’s jazz ensembles, as well as teaching a history of American popular and composition and arranging.
