Lauren is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Youth Opportunity Center, a residential treatment center for children and adolescents. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents, a facility providing residential and day-treatment services for children with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Additionally, she participated in clinical training on an inpatient psychiatric unit for children, at a therapeutic day school, and in a partial hospitalization program for children. Lauren's clinical focus is on conducting psychological assessments and therapy with children and adolescents who have endured trauma. She also enjoys working with the systems the youth are embedded in including their family, school, and community. She is passionate about improving the quality of care provided in youth facilities by increasing identification and furthering understanding of youth with trauma histories as well as implementing evidence-based and trauma-informed programmatic improvements. Outside of work, Lauren loves to travel, swim, and is a devoted dog-mom to her Corgi, Rambo.
