Angela Petrolo is a registered Clinical Psychologist from Australia, with qualifications including a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Arts Criminology (BA(Crim), Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) BPsych(Hons), a Masters of Clinical Psychology (MAClinPsych) and a Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Repsonses (GradCert (DVR). Angela has experience working with a broad range of evidence based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy frameworks (ACT). Angela has also completed training in CBT for tic disorders (CBIT; Cognitive Behavioural Intervention for Tics). Angela has a particular interest in working with adults and adolescents who have experienced complex trauma throughout their lives and, as such, struggle with chronic and complex mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol use, complex PTSD and personality disorder issues. Angela has extensive experience working in the field of trauma and drug and alcohol, in both residential and non-residential settings. Angela has predominately worked with adults, but spent a number working at Headspace, in both the suicide prevention program and the general psychology service, providing counselling to adolescents aged 12 to 25 years. Angela is currently working in private practice, working with client's face to face and clients in rural and remote areas of Australia over video link. In line with Angela’s passion for ongoing professional development, she provides clinical supervision to provisional and registered psychologists. Angela also provides ongoing clinical supervision to Kedesh Rehabilitation Services, the drug and alcohol residential service where as the Service Manager, she was responsible for driving the shift in organisational culture to implement a client centred approach to residential drug and alcohol treatment.
