EVA TEIRSTEIN YOUNG, MFA, MPS, ATR-BC, LCAT is a licensed Creative Arts Therapist in private practice in New York City where she specializes in the treatment of Dissociative Disorders and DID with children, teens and adults. She holds an Advanced Trauma Certificate awarded by the ISSTD and is an ISSTD Board Member and Fellow. Eva Young is Co-Chair of the ISSTD Child and Adolescent Assessment and Practice Guidelines Revision Task Force. She is a Co-founder and former secretary for the Creative Arts Therapy SIG. She is an active member of the Child and Adolescent SIG and a member of the ISSTD committee to the UN. Eva Young is an Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY where she earned her Masters degree in Creative Art Therapy in 1990 and is now bringing education of Complex Trauma and Dissociation into the Graduate Creative Arts Therapy curriculum. She is a graduate of the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at The William Alanson White Institute where she is currently on faculty. Eva Young has presented clinical work at various institutes and conferences including the ISSTD. Her Chapter, I didn’t Know Where You Were: In the Play Space of Treatment with a Young Dissociative Boy is included in the recently published book: Treating Children with Dissociative Disorders: Attachment, Trauma, Theory and Practice, edited by Valerie Sinason and Renee Potgeiter-Marks (2022). Eva Young offers consultation and trainings on dissociation to Therapists, teachers and other professionals working with children, teens and adults coping with complex trauma and dissociation.
